When Breitling introduced Navitimer in 1952, it was undoubtedly the brand's first venture into aviation: it would build aeronautical instruments or watches that would give pilots useful information while flying. Ten years ago, World War II was in full fury, and Breitling had developed the Chronomat, a chronograph with an annular logarithmic sliding scale. But Navitimer will eclipsed, which will be the flagship of the pilot's supreme brand. Navitimer is also equipped with sliding slide rule, this time using the reverse scale. The watch soon became a sign that it was the ideal instrument for flight preparation and navigation, whether it was used to calculate fuel consumption or average speed or convert miles to kilometers; it was immediately followed by the Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association AOPA) identified as the official table. This legendary watch has been reproduced in many different ways, each with the same effect and appeal as the first edition ... even with names like the Old Navitimer.
